I mean... you're already doing it.

You're getting out of your comfort zone and tackling new media, challenges and techniques, that is the heart of learning, and you're doing well regardless of adhd.

I became much happier at making art once I internalized these questions.

What is my metric of success. - dream as high as you want, if you were doing it in 20 years what would it be. Start shaping your art towards that.

Am I better today than I was last month. - Improvement is very slow but often when you look back you can see it clearer.

Pick 1 thing to improve in each drawing. - Rather than doing long complex drawings and challenges, I picked one single element to focus on each time. Once I practiced just how the neck connects to the torso and head because it always looked weird, and once that was solved it was never a problem again.

I don't think this advice will change your art journey, but it was a way of me thinking back on things that worked for me and externalizing it.

Thank you for sharing your struggles.

Well you are right! Its better to try to focus on few things instead on the over all picture. The problem for me is that my mind wanders, so its hard to stay in one place. But I have started to hit that break of mine. The changes will present itself in a few months or so.

Thank you for sharing 😊
