Love reading your scattered thoughts and seeing your art Jezz! You are an inspiration for all of us that have a hard time calming our very active brains!
Jezz I loved reading your unfiltered thoughts on this. I can relate in so many ways, especially with the need to move my body in an effort to settle my mind. There is nothing better than winding down and feeling ready for a deep sleep. I also find walking, art & meditation to be a portal to grounding the scattered thoughts.
I keep a notebook near me all the time to jot down ideas, brainstorm and thoughts that arise. I add a star beside anything I may want to take action on, tally them up at the end of the week and get intentional about what I can realistically add on my plate. I find it helps to keep the overwhelm down and the creativity flowing.
Writing down all my ideas instead of trying to remember them all day/night long, is something I recenlty started to do. So nice to have a empty head, even if it only last 2 sec 😊
And to give a mark on thing that you want to take action is something I need to try out. Thanks for the tip !
Keeping a notebook to keep ideas down and figure out what to do without overwhelming yourself is a great idea! I took have so many things I want to do so I will try that and see if it helps! 🤩
With meditation, how often were you doing it over that 2 months? I try and get in the habit but it always falls to the back of my brain and I forget about it. What was your habit like? Same time every day or?
I was able to find a routine in the end. I did it after my evening walk with my dog. The best is to find something you do pretty much every day, and add the meditation with it. Takes time, but once you find the right time it will just flow.
Awesome, great advice linking it with an existing habit! I think I remember reading that somewhere though can’t remember exactly. Sounds like we read the same stuff!
