Hello!
Summer is here!
I got recommended a new app. A app for people like me. With ADHD, ASD etc. And you know what? I’m liking it!
It’s called Mariko. And created by some people in Sweden. For the focus on us with NPD.
So what is this app?
Your digital assistant, to organize, planning, pretty much like any app out there. But with focus on NPD.
Tiimo is another app similar to this, but I’m not a big fan of it. Why? It’s too visual! This one, is so clean and beautiful! Love it!
What stand out more about this one? Well to starters, you can add how much energy gives or takes from a task. And you can see in the end of the day how much you gained or lost.
This is a great way to see if you doing too much negative stuff in one day.
You can add an area where you can add activities inside. To keep it more organized. Or just add an activity by it self.
You can also add an activity without any time and date. And I find it very handy.
Do add my YouTube stuff like that. So I can see its there, and be like ”oh right, I can do that now”.
Within these activities you can add your energy, priority, checklist and even some ”problem solving”.
With Problem solving you write down what is the problem and then you add your solution. IT will not do it for you, you are the one doing it. A nice thing for us to start thinking more about what our own solution to stuff could be. Or you can ask someone for help with this.
In the app they offer some kind of ”mentor”, have not tested it myself sadly. But I guess it can come handy.
The notifications on the other hand been little down side of it all. Not liking that. The activity kind smash into the actual notification. So you don’t really see what you are about to do.
But I know 2.0 of notification is coming, so that might change to the better. So yes I will continue to use this app.
And you know what? It’s free!!
So you can download it right now on the App Store or Google Play.
Both in Swedish and English.
🌻Why I mention AHD more than ASD?
Why do I mention ADHD more than my ASD. Should it not be the other way around. I mean the doctors do write in my journal that my ASD is the primary diagnosis.
But still I know less about it.
That is the simple answer. I know less about ASD, and why I even have it. Sure I do see why I have it. But at the same time I don’t.
ADHD on the other hand I do! But ADHD also has more knowledge about the topic. Books, talks, podcasts and much more. ASD not so much.
Like come on, not even my curator etc could answer what ASD are….
”What is ASD” I ask.
”You have problem with the social” they answer.
That was the only answer I got from them. But over time when I said I was tired, or other stuff. They ALWAYS blamed ASD even if it might been something else.
Like Depression.
One thing I know about ADHD and ASD is that they do overlap with each other. They are very similar in so many ways.
Maybe I know more about ASD than I think I do. Mostly because they do overlap so much. Who knows.🤷♂️
But I’m trying to learn more about it by myself. Did read a book the other year about it. Sadly I don’t remember it. And I also don’t own it, I rented it.
But I still learning.
🌻 My Art Journey
What have happen this week? Well I did walk 7km in 1h 12min with my mum. Stadsloppet was, a yearly little event in my hometown. And it all went real well! And you know what? Slept like a baby that night 😍
I also joined a Patreon for the first time. Joined Philip Sue Art, Took his course about landscape painting on 21 Draws. And been thinking for a long time to join his Patreon to get more knowledge. I really want to get better at landscape/environment painting. Maybe it will help me evolve my watercolor painting as well!
But for some reason, this month PayPal have been a mess for me. It only decline my payout. And nothing is wrong with my account… Super annoying. Anyone here had similar problem? What did you do about it?
(image 1) Played around with my regular watercolors for this. Still not found the right process to tackle watercolors. I also filmed this one for a video. But now I don’t know if I should use it for this kind of video or not. Its about having a sketchbook.
(image 2) Okey can I just say that I’m super happy with the outcome of Megumi vs Sukuna watercolor painting?! Because I am! 😍 Used both regular paint because I only have 24 pencils. And skin color is not one of them. And of course the pencils. I also filmed the whole thing, and video will come up in the near future.
What app do you use to keep track on things? Or are you going old school?

Have passed this article on to a friend Jezz. Her partner has been diagnosed with ADHD and I’m sure there will be some great advice for him here.
