Whats up, Friends! 😁
One day I was just chilling on YouTube, and suddenly, bam! The algorithm throws a street photography video from New York at me. And oh gosh... I fell in love. Like, instantly. The energy, the people, the way it all just felt. It hit something in me I didn’t know needed waking up.
So yeah, I picked up photography again!
I’m using a Sony ZV-E10 with the kit lens right now. Or my GoPro Hero 13. I really want a better lens, but wow, those things are expensive as hell and honestly? I have no clue what to pick. But that’s okay. I’m figuring it out as I go.
Most of my shots are landscapes, that’s what I’m used to. I’d love to do more street photography, but I live in probably the most boring place in all of Sweden. Not exactly filled with “cool” buildings or neon lights, y’know?
Still, I’ve been into photography before, mostly with my phone. This time, though, I just wanted a hobby that felt good again. Something for me.
Do I share my photos? Not really. Mostly because I have no idea where to post them and editing them all is... kinda exhausting. I do shoot in both RAW and JPG, so I could edit more later. We’ll see.

Last year, I even released a photo reference pack for artists to buy. It didn’t go so well, so I stopped. Now, I just do it for myself. To learn. To get better. Maybe someday one or two shots will end up as prints? Who knows.
It’s kinda wild how one YouTube video can spark so much inspiration. But I love it. It’s like this creative loop, the photography gives me new ideas for drawing. More landscapes, better compositions, new moods. It all feeds each other.
And you know the best part? I can bring my dog. We go for walks, I take photos, we explore. Spring’s such a beautiful time, everything’s blooming and alive. The other day, we walked through the forest on a hot spring afternoon. I filmed it too. I did upload it... it felt good just to capture the moment. Video is bellow.
I’ve also been nerding out on how cameras actually work. Like, I’m fully in manual mode now. I used to avoid that like the plague, always went full auto. Tried aperture priority before but couldn’t control ISO or shutter speed the way I wanted.
Now? I’m actually enjoying manual. Didn’t expect that, honestly.

And yeah... maybe you have no idea what I’m talking about. It’s okay, I barely do either. 😂 So I won’t try to explain the settings too much.
What matters is: I’m enjoying it. Taking photos almost every day, switching between my Sony and my GoPro. You might see a few of those shots sprinkled in here as you’re reading this.
So... have you started something new this spring? 😊
