What ups!
I have been thinking. Thinking about streaming art once more. And I think I will start doing it!
Streaming has been a love hate relationship for me. For good and bad.
But I have not been able to stream last year.
Seeing others stream looks so fun. When they interact with the chat and so on. I would love to have that too.
But streaming has mostly been negative for me because, not many people show up for my streams. Maybe once in every 6 months or so. So I stopped. I get so sad when it happens.
But now I have decided I will start again!
I will stream on Youtube, on weeks I don’t upload videos.
And I will not have a specific day to stream. (As of now)
Only goal is to do those week with no video, and that is all.
I will stream when I feel like it. And not force it on me. Because that will cause stress, and stress is a big enemy of mine. A enemy I cannot handle.
To not have a special time and day makes it less pressure on me.
I really hope you will come by one of those stream events happens 😊
❄️ Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Review
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is over.
And I really loved it.
Been watching it in Japanese first, and later in English.
But there is a sad truth about this. Around episode 12 or so the animation just went downhill. And that is not because of the animators. It’s because of MAPPA!
They pretty much worked on the next episode right after the one before got released to the public! So one week of very hard work!
And I hope they get a very long rest now. They deserve it.
All this is also just sad. Because one of the episode, fight between Mahoraga and Sukuna was incomplete. You could really see it.
I wonder how it would have looked like if they really got the time they needed.
Over all I loved this season! And I’m just about to start my Manga journey where Season 2 started.
Season 3 has been announced. And I really hope the animators get to work on this project until they are DONE before they start airing it. Fans rather wait longer to see a beautiful season.
❄️ My Art Journey
I went skiing last weekend. It was just so great, even if its was -15c. But during this time, my mind was just set on what I was doing. The moment I enter the car all the negative thoughts came back. The power of doing something you love!
Got my new Sony X90L TV on Monday. Met with a physiotherapist on Tuesday, occupational therapist on Wednesday and Massage on Thursday. With other words very busy week. So barely any energy left to draw…. 😩
Need to stop doing this to myself.
Oh by the way! Huion announced two new pen displays! And I’m so happy! Why? Because they enter the same realm as Wacom for once! And I just love it.
Now we have to see when other companies like XP-Pen do the same, because last year they went backwards with 10 years…
(Second Image) Was doing the Portrait Course on Artwod and finally completed it. Sure I was unable to one step, but they didn’t really show the start for that so I blame that. All done in Procreate.
(First Image) Also working on another course, How to Draw Bears. Or to be more exact, Grizzly Bears. So had the skull under and draw on top. A great way to learn. And it don’t have to be perfect either. Reason I showing it to you 😊 Done in Procreate.
(Third Image) I got very bored one night and open my new sketchbook and started to sketch out new Wold logos for me to use. I’m no Graphic Designer but it’s fun to just do something else for a change. Done in Affinity Designer
❄️ ArtWod Review
In November during Black Friday sale I paid for 1 year subscription over at Artwod.
And I’m happy I did!
Had sub over at Schoolism for 2 years, but feel I wasted money on them.
But at Artwod, why i have not taken them earlier?
They offer a free version so you can see what they offer. I did that to see all the courses and if it was something for me.
But to start unlocking you need to pay. Basic, Premium and Pro are the stages. And Pro is the most expensive, but they do offer more feedback with that one. Also unlock more videos.
I went with premium so I would unlock all the courses. But only getting feedback on beginner courses.
And the first course I went with were about drapery. To draw folds and stuff. And I learned much by just watching the first few lessons.
Each lesson offer assignment that you can turn in. And depending on what level you have you can get feedback. And for some reason I have done these assignments. I never liked homework, but this somehow got me hooked.
Maybe because you also earn points if you do them.
Also during these time I owned a sub they added two new courses. That is awesome! And I bet more will be added during this year.
They do offer more than just courses and other videos. They also have these WOD stuff. I have not looked into them yet. But they offer some kind of challenge you can do each week pretty much about different topic. They are kind of interesting!
Also if you join them you can join their discord. And in discord they do a lot of different live streams. Like weekly feedback, guest artists and more. Liking that a lot!
♦️PROS: Offer a lot of courses to follow. With assignments. And they add new ones often.
Can connect with fellow students via Discord.
Go right on point in the videos.
♦️CONS: The higher tier you subscribe too, more feedback you get, on both courses and WOD Challengers.
More drawing courses over Painting.
Unlocks the ”Exclusive” tier in Classroom with highest tier.
Some Classrooms videos, don’t match the title.
I’m very happy that I had my eyes on this site for a very long time. And finally took the step to join it. I hope that in the coming year my portfolio has evolve because of these courses.
And I hope they will add more painting courses in the future.
❄️ Manga Fashion: Art Secrets
Manga Fashion is Dalia Sharawna second book. I do not own the first.
Covers pretty much every clothing fashion you can think off.
Also drawing clothes for both gender.
Female might get more in ”Elegant Clothing” chapter. But that is mostly because female has more dresses to choose from than Males suits.
Also showing some step by step on how to draw some clothes. Like how to draw a hat, by first mapping out the hair of your character and then add the hat.
This book also go very good hand in hand with ”Morpho: Clothing fold and Creases”. If you combine the two you will be the master of drawing clothes very soon.
